What if Oscar Returned?

What If Oscar Tshiebwe and Aaron Bradshaw Played Together for Kentucky?

As the 2022-2023 college basketball season comes to an end, Kentucky fans can’t help but wonder what’s next for their team. One question on everyone’s mind is whether Oscar Tshiebwe will return for another year. The 2021-2022 National Player of the Year surprised everyone by returning for his senior year, but will he do it again?

If Tshiebwe does return, he could team up with incoming freshman Aaron Bradshaw to create a formidable duo for the Wildcats. Tshiebwe’s rebounding and scoring abilities are well-known, but he can also be a defensive liability and struggle in pick-and-roll defense. Bradshaw, on the other hand, has a solid outside shot and can be effective down low due to his height.

But Tshiebwe won’t be the only star on the team. Bradshaw will be among the best incoming class Coach John Calipari has ever had, with stars at virtually every position. If Tshiebwe and Bradshaw can work well together, Kentucky could have a dominant frontcourt that can score both inside and outside.

However, teams will likely focus their defense on Tshiebwe, and that’s where Bradshaw’s outside shooting could come in handy. If Bradshaw can consistently knock down shots from beyond the arc, it will open up the floor for Tshiebwe to operate down low. And if Tshiebwe can improve his defense, it will make the Wildcats even more dangerous.

Of course, whether Tshiebwe returns or not is still up in the air. And even if he does, there’s no guarantee that he and Bradshaw will click on the court. But if they do, it could be a thrilling season for Kentucky fans. And who knows, Tshiebwe might still have his sights set on bringing the 9th NCAA championship back to Kentucky.

What do you think, Kentucky fans? Would you like to see Oscar return? And how do you think he and Bradshaw would play together? With the incoming class bringing more talent, could Kentucky finally win that elusive championship?
